Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation

After emergency treatment, stroke care focuses on helping regain strength, rehabilitation as much as possible and return to independent living. The impact of a stroke depend on the area of the brain involved and the number of damaged tissue. 
 
Causing damage to the right side of the brain can affect movement and sensation in the left side of the body. Damage to brain cells left side may affect movement on the right side, this damage can also cause speech disorders and language. Also, if you have had a stroke, could have problems with breathing, swallowing, balance and hearing. Also can experience vision loss and dysfunction of the bladder or bowel.

Most stroke survivors are treated in a rehabilitation program. The doctor will suggest the most rigorous program can handle based on your age, overall health, and the degree of disability of stroke. The recommendations will be put into the lifestyle, interests and priorities, and the availability of family members or other caregivers.
The rehabilitation can begin before leaving the hospital. It may continue in a rehabilitation unit of the same hospital, rehabilitation units or skilled nursing facility, outpatient units, or home.
Recovering stroke of each person is different. Depending on the complications, the team who helped in the recovery may include specialists:
Neurology.
Doctors p HUC rehabilitation (physiatrist).
Nurse.
The dietitian.
Physiotherapy.
Occupational therapy.
Recreation therapy.
Speech therapy.
Social workers.
Case management.
Psychological or psychiatrist .
